I've shared out several templates recently both here on my blog, and on Twitter. Some of these were Game Shows, Digital Magazines and Twitter profiles. I haven't used the Twitter profile ones yet personally but will get to do this during a history class in March. The students are in a Cold War unit and I will have them create Cold War leaders bios. Then they will use sticky notes tweets to post and reply back to each other on their profiles which we we will print and post in the room.
Since I've been sharing many templates recently, I thought I would add this one which I just finished. It is the Prophet Newspaper from Harry Potter series. I recently finished watching them all with my 11 year old Harry Potter fanatic of a daughter and every time I saw these moving newspapers I thought, "I bet I could make that in Google Slides".
So, here is what I came up with.
Like I said before, I've never done any of these with students and to be honest, I haven't even shared it with anyone else before. So, I haven't really thought out any practical ways in which students can use them. But.... if any of you try it out I would love to see some ways in which you used them so that I can share them back out.
I've put a few tech tips on the slides at the end of this document about using icons and images.
Here is a link to open this Harry Potter "Daily Prophet" Newspaper. Once open go to FILE and choose MAKE A COPY then you can have your own version of it.
